Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Welcome to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) page! At Winters Joint Unified School District, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of CTE programs that empower students with the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to succeed in today's competitive workforce. Whether preparing for college, a career, or entrepreneurship, our CTE programs provide valuable, hands-on learning that prepares students for success beyond the classroom.

What is CTE?

Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the opportunity to explore a wide variety of careers in industries such as healthcare, technology, construction, manufacturing, information technology, business, and more. CTE programs blend academic instruction with real-world experience, helping students build both technical skills and soft skills that are highly valued in the workforce.

Why CTE?

  • Hands-on Learning: Students get to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, gaining practical skills they can use right away.
  • Career Readiness: CTE programs are designed to equip students with the skills and experience employers are looking for, making them more competitive in the job market.
  • Pathways to Success: CTE prepares students for a range of opportunities, from postsecondary education to immediate employment, apprenticeships, or starting their own businesses.
  • Industry Certifications: Many CTE programs offer certifications and credentials that are recognized by employers, enhancing students’ career prospects.
