I would describe myself as an easy-going teacher, but I have high expectations from my students. I try to encourage a learning environment that is exciting and challenging. I try to foster a love of learning for its own sake. Students can be found working independently on plays, making PowerPoint presentations, reading in literature circles or doing research on the Internet. Everyone should be treated with respect. I'm one of those old-fashioned teachers that runs a quiet class room and still requires a hand to be raised and polite behavior toward fellow classmates.
