The creation of Shirley Rominger Intermediate School illustrates the strength of the Winters community and the best of the Winters Joint Unified School District. Students, parents, community members, and school employees served on a committee that selected the school name. Shirley Rominger was a community member who worked tirelessly to support the school district bond project and support her community through good works. Courage, etc. are representative of Shirley Rominger and of our students as well. The student body at large selected the mascot and school colors. Student leadership lead a campaign to collect ideas and suggestions, then presented this to the students.
