As
part of the Winters Joint Unified District, Independent/Home Study follows
the District's calendar, philosophy, and standards for graduation. We provide
our students an alternative way of reaching their educational goals, tailored
to
their schedules and their individual academic needs. To be a good fit for
Independent Study, a high school student should have the initiative to work
on
his or her own with just weekly monitoring and assistance by a teacher and
the
self discipline to set a schedule for getting the work done. Younger students
should have both initiative and the strong support and help of their parents.
We love to have people with special interests and different perspectives.
